This Setomaa farm revived with love and care will again welcome everyone who wants to experience Setomaa’s amazing landscape, culture and heritage. The menu at Iloline Kirsitalo was inspired by the family’s grandmother’s recipes. Standbys of Seto cuisine will be in the offing: groat porridge with smoked meat, two-handed sandwich with meat smoked on Kirsi farm, melt-in-the-mouth sõir cheese, which won the popular favourite title at the Seto Kingdom festival in 2017, a curd cake with berries and much else, both savoury and sweet.
If it’s your first time at Kirsi Farm and you are interested in the history of the farm, join us for the hosts’ talk about the process of restoring the farm.
Local accordionists will handle the musical duties. If you’re lucky, there will be a chance to take part in a dance workshop. Girls aged 6-14 can try on Seto folk costume.
Kirsi Farm has been preparing far in advance for this occasion. We look forward to seeing you!
