Our menu proudly features pike-perch from Lake Peipus. We also serve onion and chanterelle pies, sõir (cured cheese) and homemade bread. Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy a variety of baked treats and “Aladi” – traditional Old Believer pancakes. Unique handicrafts are offered by Beresje Hobituba. Live music will set the mood throughout the day, and there is a small play area for children.
Three years ago, a small boat harbour was opened in the village of Beresje, on the picturesque shore of Lake Lämmijärv. A year ago, a cosy village gathering place was completed – a place where beautiful nature, village life and community activities come together. Beresje is the only Old Believer village in Setomaa. Here, old traditions, hospitality and the peaceful rhythm of village life live on.
PARKING INFORMATION: Our village is small and the road is narrow. You can park near the bus stop if you would like to take a walk and enjoy the village’s unique atmosphere and Old Believer heritage. Another parking area is available on private property – follow the parking signs to find it. If you have limited mobility, please drive directly to the harbour. And of course, you are also welcome to arrive by boat!
