15. Rikka Ivvani Man (Sat)

Rikka Ivvan Farm is a traditional 148-year-old Seto farm run by a family of five. They raise sheep and grow garden vegetables, using local ingredients such as eggs from Paloka Farm’s chickens. On Kostipäev (a traditional day of hospitality), the farm shop is open, and the younger generation of the family performs music. Visitors can join a storytelling tour and enjoy an open stage for music. The farmyard offers plenty of activities and spaces for relaxation.

Open only on Saturday

Rikka Ivvani Farm has just turned 148 years old. If you haven’t been here yet, we are a traditional Seto farm where our family of five works every day. We still raise sheep and grow garden vegetables, and most of the ingredients for Kostipäev come straight from our farm. Our dairy products are from Nopri, and this year’s star ingredient, MUNA, comes from the chickens of Paloka Farm in Ulaskova village.

We’re also opening the doors of our farm shop, established by Rikas Ivvan in 1905. On Kostipäev, the younger generation of our family will be running the shop. If there’s any time left between selling goods, the young farmer promises to play a few guitar or karmoška songs.

On Saturday at 12:00, the hostess, Sigre, will step out of the kitchen to share the story of Rikka Ivvani Farm with the host, Ain, (until we’ve told everyone who hasn’t heard it yet). After that, we’ll flow into the pleasant rhythms of Kostipäev—things will happen when the time is right.

The only times to keep in mind are 12:30 and 14:00, when Merca will take you on the famous Küllätüvä story walk through our village before heading to Seto Odüsseia. The walk starts behind the gate of Rikka Ivvani! Participation can be made via Merca’s donation box.

We might come up with more surprises as Kostipäev approaches, so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Kostipäev’s FB page! Musicians, bring your instruments—there’s an open stage! Our farmyard has plenty of space for running, tumbling, or just relaxing. We also have a ping pong table, darts, and badminton rackets!
