According to ancient legend, the Värska waters have miracle powers. The Värska natural mineral water contains minerals ‒ sodium, calcium, potassium and chlorides ‒ that have a positive effect on the whole body.
In the 1960’s a big natural bowl was found at a depth of 470 meters under the Gulf of Värska. The deepest water horizon of the bowl had formed 500 million years ago. A few years later, a factory was built near the borehole, where the natural mineral water, which became known as Värska Originaal, was bottled. In 1993 the enterprise was recognized as AS Värska Vesi. The factory bottles natural mineral water as well as flavored water, carbonated and non-carbonated (still) water, spring water and carbonated juices.
The best-known product of the company is still the Värska Originaal. This exceptionally clean, lightly salty natural mineral water is obtained from a depth of 470 meters (over 1500 feet). The only addition is a bit of carbon dioxide for carbonation. It is the best drink for any sportsmen!
