In the southern corner of Setomaa, authentic farm flavours await, prepared from the bounty of the farm’s fields, gardens and forests.

In the southern corner of Setomaa, in Tsergondõ village, Varese Farm will open its gates to welcome guests on 8 and 9 August. On these days, you can enjoy the peaceful summer atmosphere of our farmyard, an abundance of blooming flowers and authentic homemade food – just as it was made in the old days and served from the heart.
Our farm favourites will be on the table: Seto porridge with an onion centre, hearty solyanka soup and, of course, the hostess’s own warm sõir (traditional Seto cured cheese), freshly made to order. Pancakes and other sweet treats will also be on the menu. All our food is prepared from ingredients that come from our own fields, garden and greenhouse, or from the surrounding forest.
The day will be accompanied by traditional music, conversations with our guests and the simple pleasure of spending time together. We do not offer crowds and noise – instead, you will find peace, flavours and moments to remember. You can also get a glimpse of everyday country life on the farm and meet our hens – each with her own name and personality.
We welcome everyone who is curious about modern country life, farm food and Seto culture – come and visit us to see how we really live here in Setomaa.
