Old Jüri's Soap Shop is a one-of-a-kind place. Silver Hüds, Estonia's first and only male soap maker, runs the shop. He named it after his grandfather. Every soap has something from Setomaa's nature. The most special ingredient is water from the nearby Pskov-Caves Monastery, which is not found in any other soap in the world. The best-selling soaps are are tar soap, bog soap, and Piusa sand soap. Everyone will definitely find a favorite!
The owner of the soap shop has his own story to tell, but to listen to the story, you have to drive there yourself. Old Jüri's soaps can't be found anywhere else: you'll have to come here to the beautiful banks of the River Piusa to get them.
Price: Free, one soap costs 4 EUR. NB! Only cash accepted.
Open: During the summer period from 1 May to 30 September, on a daily basis, otherwise by appointment.
